The love child of a composer and radio head, Sleeper was raised by instruments and gypsies. Growing up in Washington DC, he listened to mom on the radio by day and fell asleep to dad giving violin lessons by night.
Coming from a family of musicians, there isn’t a music making device he hasn’t played or broken. When a turntable found him freshman year at Indiana University, Sleeper was born.
He immediately dived into radio and the DJ battle circuit. Sleeper started two shows on local and college airwaves then battled his way up to one of the Top 8 DJs on the planet in the 2006 World Series Turntable Championship.
Now based in Los Angeles, his music has been featured on ESPN, MTV, URB, The Miami Herald, and Scratch magazine. Stretching across genres, generations and styles, his ability to remix live while incorporating turntablism into his blends creates a sound that is distinctly his own. Sleeper’s Michael Jackson remix stayed at #1 on both Hype Machine charts for more than a month and made it to Zeitgest’s Best Songs of 2009.
His music has brought him all over North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Jamaica. He’s rocked with scores of headliners like Ludacris, Common, Mix Master Mike, Wyclef Jean and BT. He’s created mixes for SpitKicker — home to luminaries such as Kanye West, Talib Kweli and Dave Chappelle, and Hip Hop Congress — one of the largest nonprofit hip hop organizations in the world.

An avid record collector, his fattening 10,000 piece collection is spread across two states. Sleeper’s arsenal ranges from his dad’s classical records, jazz, funk and soul, to all planets of electronica (trance!), hip-hop and rock.
His resume boasts a rainbow of sporting and lifestyle events including TED, Ministry of Sound, Rock The Bells, Nike White Men Can’t Jump Tournament, Ryan Sheckler X Games Tournament, Mexico’s Baja 1000, Guitar Hero 3 Release, Oscars® Gifting Suite, Paul Mitchell Fashion Show, InStyle Magazine Fashion Show, Apple Store, Honda US Open, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Adidas Final Four, Hot Import Nights, XM Radio, Red Bull Drifting World Championship, David Beckham soccer event, + MLS Championship Game.
Sleeper is currently a resident DJ at Boulevard3 in Hollywood. In the past year alone, Diddy, Jay-Z, Kobe Bryant, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj have all hosted events there. He’s a choice DJ for Red Bull, does showcases for Apple and has performed and held residencies at notable Los Angeles venues such as Henry Fonda Theater, Hammer Museum, Vanguard, LAX, The Standard, Kress, Crash Mansion, Hyde, Ecco, S Bar, Social and The Dime.
